There is an internet mailing list for CFIDS. Many messages relating to CFIDS are posted to this list each day. If you subscribe, you will receive all of these messages, and can also post your own.
This mailing list is worth joining for many reasons, not the least of which is the wealth of information available in its welcome message. I have retrieved hundreds of pages of information about CFIDS simply using information in the welcome message.
The CFIDS Internet mailing list is mirrored as the Usenet newsgroup alt.med.cfs.
If you would like to join the mailing list, send mail to the following list server:
LISTSERV@NIH.GOV
In the body of your message, put:
SUB CFS-L YourFirstName YourLastName
Note that this is a high volume list, so you may wish to turn off mailing to you and read the newsgroup. This way, you can still post to the list, but only retrieve postings whose headers interest you. To do this, once you are subscribed, send this command to the same list sever:
SET NOMAIL
There is also a mailing list called CFS-NEWS, which is very low volume, about once a month. It contains a digest of interesting articles about CFIDS, and is a good way to keep up on research and legislation regarding the subject. To subscribe, send the following command to the above list server address:
SUB CFS-NEWS YourFirstName YourLastName
