Early photos were done with various 35mm automatic cameras, including my Ricoh RZ3000.
Starting somewhere near the end of June, my photos are taken with a Fujifilm FinePix 1400Zoom digital camera. This terrific camera greatly shortens my lead time, since I can go straight from the camera to my hard drive.
A digital camera also greatly reduces the cost. No film is required; the only cost is for batteries (for which it has a great appetite, but it's still far cheaper than film and developing). As a result, I can take many more pictures, and choose from among the best. I took over 175 photos at the SAAC-25 convention!
The Fujifilm digital camera also seems to take much better photos than my old Ricoh 35mm. I think this is at least partly due to a flash with better light distribution, but it may also have superior exposure control.
