The Wild Places

The wild places are where we began. When they end, so do we.

David Brower is a naturalist. He was talking about the wild places of the earth, but I believe his saying applies to wild places of the spirit as well.

Race tracks are one of the few places left in which we can nurture the wildness in the human spirit. Although only a few people feel the need to consort and do battle with Cobras and other wild beasts, I like to think that when we do, we are stoking the fires of vitality for all humanity.
