Video: The Cobra at Loudon

10/19/01 - Thanks to Bruce Ledoux, a very generous Porsche 550 replica driver who had a video camera at Loudon last weekend, I've got a video clip of our Cobra thundering into turn 1.

This has been a fantastic summer, despite the demanding nature of the suspension revision project. Whatever else happens, I have the memory of those glorious dozen laps last Friday when I was hammering around Loudon behind the club's fastest 427 Cobra, driven by Paul Formanek, staying glued to his tail and setting a time that would have won the event in August.

This clip shows me following Paul into turn 1, our engines bellowing, and my front wheel lifting as I get back on the power entering turn 2A.

It's a 2.7 mb MPEG. View it here!

Note: We plan to make further revisions to the suspension. We'll be going to stiffer front springs, and back to the softer front anti-roll bar we used originally. These changes should help the suspension work even better.
