Good reviews of F1RS can be found on these sites:

  • Sim Racing News [not yet, but soon!]
  • Games Domain
  • The Game Pad
  • Computer Games World's F1Racing
  • Here are some links to useful F1RS related sites:

  • The Unofficial F1 Racing Sim Page
  • Richard's F1 Racing Sims
  • Peter's 3D Driving Games
  • Guy Cote's F1RS Setup Page
  • Inoffizial F1RS Fan Site (in German)
  • Formula 1 Online Racing
  • Ubi Soft France (in English; look for the Suggestion Box)
  • Ubi Soft UK
  • Ubi Soft US
  • Both Richard's site and The Unofficial F1RS Page have setups which are much better than the stock setup, as well as ghost laps. Watch out, though; the latter site in particular is very graphics-intensive and takes a long time to load over a modem. These and Peter's site have links to F1RS utilities and patches you can download. Guy Cote is working up a good page on setting up your F1RS car, and the Inoffizial F1RS Fan Site has 1997 and 1998 cars you can load into your copy of the sim, and some useful utilities.

The Online Racing site has some excellent tips, including how to turn down the deafening cacophony made by the competitors' cars. This site also has more information about racing F1RS over the internet using Kali or Khan, and plans for an online racing series.

The Ubi Soft site in France has much more info than the US site. The latter is mainly for ordering, while the French site has interesting background info on the creation of the sim, among other things.

Note: While you can't yet order F1RS from the Ubi Soft Web site, you can reach them at 1-800-UBI-SOFT. As of this writing they are out of stock, but expect to have more copies soon. See my tips page for more ideas on where to get your copy.
