As noted in the Specs and Vendors pages, we got several options from Factory Five and from Breeze Automotive to enhance our Cobra's drivability and usefulness.

Once we got it on the road, we found that the car had plenty of power, and was a blast to drive, but it had several deficiencies in terms of drivability.

Built as Factory Five specified, our Cobra's steering was extremely heavy, and the car had a very strong tendency to follow bumps and inclines. It also did strange and awkward things if you got on the throttle or on the brakes hard while turning.

Also, the brake pedal was very long, with about 3 inches of travel before anything happened, and very spongy, despite endless bleeding and everything else we could think of. Once we got onto the track, the pedal got even longer, coming very close to bottoming on the front of the footbox under hard braking.

We also found it very difficult to modulate the throttle in the first part of its travel. It was difficult to launch the car from a standstill without a series of silly-looking and annoying lurches, and it was difficult to modulate the throttle properly coming off of slow corners.

The brake and throttle problems also made it very difficult to consistently get the proper amount of throttle when heel-and-toeing.
